Update improves the stability and the reliability of Windows 7 and of Windows Server 2008 R2 is available. Following issues have been resolved:
- Windows Explorer crashes and then restarts when accessing a third-party Control Panel item.
- You cannot connect to an instance of SQL Server Analysis Services from an application in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 after you install Office Live Add-in 1.4 or Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5.
- Windows Explorer may stop responding for 30 seconds when a file or a directory is created or renamed after certain applications are installed.
- The Welcome screen may be displayed for 30 seconds when you try to log on to a computer if you set the desktop background to a solid color.
- You are not warned when you delete more than 1000 files at the same time. Then, the files are deleted permanently and are not moved to the Recycle Bin.

Today (13 April 2010), Microsoft will release 11 bulletins related to 25 vulnerabilities found in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Exchange. Details are available on Microsoft Security Bulletin Advance Notification for April 2010.
If you are unsure what version of system do you have, please do not hesitate to contact us, as:
- Windows XP Service Pack 2 will no longer be supported after July 13, 2010, recommendation is to upgrade system to Service Pack 3 or to Windows 7 as soon as possible,
- extended support for Windows 2000 will be retired on July 13, 2010. After that time, there will be no security or any other updates for Windows 2000,
- Windows Vista RTM will no longer be supported after the April 13, 2010 bulletin release. Service Pack 1 will still be supported until July 12, 2011 but recommendation is to update to Service Pack 2 or Windows 7.

Microsoft confirms security patch to be available tomorrow for Internet Exlorer. Exposure described in Microsoft Security Advisory (981374 Vulnerability in Internet Explorer Could Allow Remote Code Execution) will be fixed as well as nine other vulnerabilities in IE.
Affected browsers:
- Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 on Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4,
- Internet Explorer 6,
- Internet Explorer 7.
Internet Explorer 8 users do not need to update their browsers.
Microsoft recommends customers to install the update as soon as it is available.
You can also stop using Internet explorer.
